Forum on implications of the Social Work Reform Board's work for social work in Higher Education
This forum provided an opportunity to discuss the outputs, recommendations and work of the social work reform board.
There was an initial presentation to cover:
- the overall framework for professional standards
- the employers standards
- the proposed CPD framework
- proposals for changes to qualifying programmes
- partnerships
The implication of the transfer of responsibilities for registration of social workers and approval of qualifying programmes to the HPC was also addressed.
