JISCmail lists
JISCmail, the National Academic Mailing List Service, is one of a number of services provided by the United Kingdom Education and Research Networking Association (UKERNA) and is funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) to benefit learning, teaching and research communities. JISCmail list users are from higher and further education and research communities both in the UK and worldwide.
The JISCmail lists aim to:
- assist in the promotion of innovation in learning, teaching and assessment in social policy/social work
- collate and disseminate information on good practice
- exchange ideas on learning technologies
- increase awareness of developments in learning and teaching
- inform the social policy/social work community about relevant events
- share information of pedagogical approaches

socialworkadmissions. A list for admissions tutors for social work programmes to provide a supportive and confidential forum for admissions tutors to discuss some of the complex issues linked to admissions.
suitabilitysw. A confidential discussion list for social work academics who have responsibility for implementing 'Suitability for Social Work' procedures.
profdocsw. A list to facilitate the sharing of experience regarding the development of professional doctorates in social work and related areas.

A list on mental health in higher education designed to raise the profile of learning and teaching about mental health; capture and disseminate examples of reflective, effective and innovative teaching practice and encourage links between educators, policy makers and those with professional and/or personal experience of mental health problems and services.

Social Work Reform Ning - This Ning has been set up on behalf of the Association of Professors of Social Work, JUC-SWEC and SWAP to facilitate information exchange and discussion between programme leads and the HE people on the Social Work Reform Board (Sue White - APSW, Hilary Tompsett - JUC-SWEC and Jackie Rafferty (SWAP). It is a private HE space and focuses on the recommendations from the Social Work Taskforce with implications for higher education.
