Involving young people in care in social work education

A National Voice, an organisation run by young people in care, for young people in care has a new resource available for social care professionals, care staff, foster carers and social work educators.  As part of the Leading Improvements for Looked After Children (LILAC) project they offer young person led training sessions.  These focus on participation and making sure looked-after children are involved in decisions relating to both their individual care and the policies and practices of the services that look after them.

Further details of the training available can be found by visiting the LILAC project website.
