Funded project

Developing information literacy skills for social work students (completed 2003)

Susie Andretta with Peter Hodgkinson, Stuart Isaacs, Donna Dustin, Richard Skues, London Metropolitan University

Project description

The development of the Information Literacy (IL) for Social Work (SW) website was sponsored by SWAP and embedded in Social Context of Social Work, one of the core modules at certificate level of the SW degree. Based on the collaboration of Social Work and Information Management staff, this project aimed to equip students with IL skills to function as independent learners and enable them, in the longer term, to perform effectively as Social Work professionals who can use information and evidence-based data appropriately.
