Description

To date, there has been no comprehensive review of the literature on the teaching and learning of social work skills in UK training programmes. This project undertook such a review and established a social work skills website, designed to enable academics, students, practitioners, service users and carers to work together and to share knowledge and perspectives in this area. This proposal built on the work of SkillsNet, an international social work skills network, which focuses on how social work skills are currently theorised, taught, learned, applied and evaluated, and explores innovative ways to enhance practice effectiveness.
