SWAP digests
SWAP produces short digests, which are designed to support academics in their learning and teaching practices. Each digest includes some top tips, more detailed information on their application in practice and a list of further resources. There are digests on inclusive learning and teaching, maximising student learning in lectures; engaging students with social policy; and more.
Case studies
SWAP has collected a variety of case studies about good learning and teaching practices in social work and social policy, which may provide new academic staff with inspiration for some innovative teaching methods.
Using social policy research in teaching (PDF, 1.14MB) - An A4 booklet with six case studies detailing how social policy research has been integrated into the curriculum.
ELTEP publications
To support your e-learning needs several publications such as help sheets and information sheets were produced as part of the E-supported Learning and Teaching Enhancement Project (ELTEP, 2006-2008).
Creativity
SWAP invited colleagues to consider the place of creativity in social work education. Hilary Burgess and Judith Laurance from SWAP compiled a discussion paper called Reflections on creativity in social work and social work education (January 2007) (PDF, 202KB).

There are several ways you can get your students involved in SWAP's work.
Funding
SWAP provides funding for several projects each year. To see if there are any calls open at present, visit the funding page. For details of previously funded projects, please see the Projects section.
SWAP also provides small amounts of funding for academic staff to host events on issues in learning and teaching that matter to them. See the Event hosting page for details of how to apply.
